Windscreen Wipers Are Not Now Only Used On Car Windows, They Have Many Different Everyday Uses

When Windscreen wipers were initially invented, it was to assist the automobile driver to keep his windscreen clean without needing to put his hand out of the car and clean the screen maually.

Practically anywhere that glass is located, so will you find Wiper blades. They are not just used on the front windshield of a car, but sometimes with hatchbacks are also attached to the back. Some automobiles also have Wiper blades on their headlights. This is most effective for dirty roads, or in snowy conditions, when headlamps would soon become much less effective without this wonderful invention.

Even jumbo jets have Windscreen wipers and I would imagine they require some of the best Wiper blades available. As they travel at such quick speeds and with major temperature variations anything less than the highest quality would soon perish.

Public transport, be it buses, trams or trains, all have Windscreen wipers in order to assist their drivers with visibility. While trains are on rails, and therefore it may be questioned “well why is it important for a train driver to see so well?” there are still signals along the train track which the train driver needs to take heed of in order to keep the passengers safe. The train driver also needs to be able to see when arriving at a station that the train stops in the right place. Wiper blades, therefore, are important for all modes of public transport.

Motorcycles do not look to have Windscreen wipers and this is probably due to the fact that not all motorbikes have windshields. Motorbike riders wear crash helmets with visors and they sometimes also have a special rain visor, so the requirement for Wiper blades on a motorcycle is not as high as it would be for other modes of transport.

The best wiper blades away from transport have in my opinion got to be the ones used by window cleaners. How much more simple it is to get a clean result on home, office and shop windows by the use of Wiper blades than ever it was with earlier methods. I am uncertain who first had the idea to move the Wiper blades away from the car windshield and used them on a building window, but I admire them enormously. Streak-free windows are now much more easily achievable.

Smaller Wiper blades are also available to purchase for use in the bathroom, on shower screens and tiles, so that these can be kept streak-free and help prevent the build up of limescale.

This all just shows how one individual’s notion of how to make life easier for a certain target market can actually improve many more lives in time.
