Comment on Are Water Powered Cars A Hoax? Or Do They Actually Work? by JB

These things are a hoax.

Water and current causes 2(H2O) => 2(H2) + O2 (gas), which after an oxidizing reaction does not expand, it contracts back to 2(H2O) which is much much much smaller in liquid form than gas.

You can really reduce your compression by doing this and get plenty of condensed water into the engine - which is GREAT for the inside of your engine. (sarcasm if you didn't get it.)

It also creates heat which is something you try NOT to make. Heat is a byproduct of the oxidizing reaction that creates expanding gas in normal gasoline combustion and is wasted energy that you try to REMOVE from the engine with the radiator, not add extra to.

Additionally, it runs more current from the battery/alternator to do the H2O division, which does remove more kinetic energy from the running process of the engine as the energy has to come from somewhere.

Don't take my word for it though, ask your local college chemistry professor. (Or maybe even high-school. lol) And ask a mechanic if it is good to reduce your compression and extra get water in the engine. Or an electrical engineer if you can run a generator without causing extra drag on an engine.

Car insurance protects the car and takes care of all the relevant expenses in the event of a car accident. Car owners must choose a suitable car insurance that offers them desirable coverage. There are various kinds of car insurance available to car owners, and it may be a daunting experience to select the right insurance. Thanks for the post.

Comment on Unveiling Biodiesel by Clean_Burning

Biodiesel is not THE solution because there is not enough to go around. Furthermore, since it is typically blended with petroleum diesel, it therefore shares diesel’s harmful emissions (with an increase in Nox emissions) and remains heavily dependent on foreign petroleum imports.

Efficiency in transportation is the most important step to take in solving our oil woes. Biodiesel can’t be transported in pipelines and its storage requires special management. Moreover, it’s not distributed as widely as traditional, petroleum diesel and it is currently about one and a half times more expensive than petroleum diesel fuel. Part of this cost is because the most common source of biodiesel is the soybean, which is only 20% oil. Thus, wide-scale production will have an adverse affect on global food prices and a low return on investment since it's expensive to make.

A better alternative that offers cleaner fuel at a reasonable cost is Compressed Natural Gas (CNG.) CNG is the consistently cheaper alternative, while also being more environmentally friendly than any biofuel blend. CNG is the cleanest of the alternative fuels and offers the least emissions. When compared to diesel, greenhouse gases are reduced by 23%, nitrogen oxide is reduced by 50%, and particulate matter is reduced by 70%.

98% of Natural Gas is produced in North America, making it an abundant resource that is readily available. Why don’t more discussions include Natural Gas as a viable, economically-sound,and environmentally friendly alternative?
